Vice chancellor of knust obiri danso has been replaced by a female vice chancellor for the institution. this is due to the violent protest the students of knust did on Monday 22nd October 2018 against the vice chancellor. The university is been closed at the moment and will be opened in 14 days.

Controversial celebrity counsellor,  lutterodt says students of knust are indiscipline and  should not blame the vice chancellor for their violent protest they did on Monday , speaking to the host of kasapa FM , he said he does not understand why the student should be angry to get to a   point of vandalizing the school properties

Asante monarch Otumfuo osei tutu 11 will  meet the vice chancellor of knust today to find solution to the violent protest the student did on Monday 22nd October 2018. Because of violent protest the student did on Monday the school is indefinitely closed.

Knust international students support their fellow students

International students of knust president  temidayo has come out to say he support his fellow students for the demonstrations they did on Monday thou  they were not part of the demonstrations, according to him the student voice needed to be heard thou he does not support the way the student spoilt some of the government properties.

British's royal family to visit indefinitely closed knust

Prince of Wales, Charles and his spouse Camilla duchess of Cornwall are expected in Ghana on a royal visit on 3rd November 2018. The itinerary of his family include visiting knust. It is unknown if they are aware that the school was indefinitely closed yesterday, following the violent protest at the school premises. Bantamahene,Baafour Amankwatia V1, who led members of the Kumasi traditional council to knust on behalf of the  Asantehene expressed worry about the level of destruction on campus, which he said was unprecedented. Bantamehene on behalf of the Asantehene urged the public to desist from politicizing the current happenings in the university as it can further worsen the situation.
